Club Career
Arfield progressed through the Falkirk Youth Academy and was promoted to the first-team squad. He made his debut on 4 August 2007 in a 4–0 victory over Gretna on the opening day of the 2007–08 season. His first goal came in a 4–2 loss to Inverness Caledonian Thistle. He scored twice in a 4–0 win against St Mirren and won the Scottish Premier League Young Player of the Month award for December 2007. In February 2008, Arfield signed a new five-year contract with Falkirk. He ended the season with three goals in 35 SPL appearances.
During the 2008–09 season, Arfield claimed his second Young Player of the Month award for September.
