Chahat Pandey grew up in Chandi Chopra, Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. She faced a challenging childhood, having lost her father at a young age. Raised by her mother, Bhavana Pandey, who was a strong supporter of Chahat’s dream to become an actress, Chahat received immense encouragement to pursue her aspirations. To help fund her daughter’s acting training, Bhavana even pledged her jewelry. After completing her schooling, Chahat moved to Mumbai to pursue her acting career and follow her passion for the entertainment industry.

| Controversies | In June 2019, Chahat Pandey and her mother, Bhawna Pandey, were arrested by the Mumbai Police. Reportedly, Chahat, along with her mother and brothers, forcefully entered her maternal uncle’s house and destroyed his property.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, Chahat Pandey was accused of mentally torturing the TV actress, Heer Chopra, when Chopra stayed at her house during the lockdown. In 2020, the TV actor Zaan Khan made a post on the social media in which he said that Chahat was on the ‘verge of committing suicide’ for non-payment of dues by the producers of the show and was stopped by her mother. The actress denied the same, and while explaining the incident, she said, “Actually, one day my mother was very angry and we were having a discussion in a group call about this issue. And she just said, ‘Agar meri beti ne kuch ulta seedha kar liya toh kaun zimedar hoga (Who would be responsible if my daughter took any drastic step?). I think that must have led to the confusion. But ab paani sar ke uppar se jaa chuka hai, sab ki haalat kharab hai. Main nahi chahti koi bhi aaisa galat kadam uthaaye (But water has now gone over the head. I don’t want anyone to take a wrong step).” |
