Early Life
Kellen Moore was born on July 5, 1988, in Prosser, Washington. His father, Tom, was the head coach at Prosser High School from 1986 to 2008, where he led the team to 21 league titles and four state championships. Kellen and his younger brother Kirby, who also played at Boise State as a wide receiver, would regularly attend their father’s football practices after school. As Kellen’s father recalled in a 2011 interview, “He’d always have a little notepad with him. He was always drawing plays.” During his final two years of high school, Kellen’s father allowed him to call his own plays during games.
